AI Use Policy

1. Philosophy: AI-Enhanced Education
Hemisphere Academy La Esfera believes in "AI-enhanced education, not AI-replaced education." Technology multiplies educational impact without diminishing human value. AI is a support tool, not a substitute for human educational judgment.
2. AI in Educational Content
The Academy uses AI to assist in generating class content, slides, and study materials. All AI-generated content is reviewed and approved by authorized personnel before publication. AI does not publish academic content autonomously.
3. AI in Assessments
AI assists in evaluating test and assignment answers, providing preliminary grades. However, AI does NOT have final academic authority. All grades can be reviewed and modified by authorized academic personnel. The final grade remains with the human.
4. Atlas — AI Assistant
Atlas is the Academy's AI web assistant. Atlas is designed to: guide visitors, provide verified institutional information, and assist the main administrator. Atlas does NOT invent institutional information. For sensitive institutional questions (accreditation, partnerships, student numbers), Atlas uses only approved institutional evidence or a transparency message.
5. Student Use of AI
Students may use AI as a learning support tool, as established in the Academic Integrity Policy. However: AI must not be used to generate complete assessment answers or to write the Global Impact Capstone in its entirety. Submitted work must be the student's original work.
6. AI Review Signals
The Academy may use AI detection signals as indicators that work requires academic review. These signals NEVER constitute an automatic accusation of dishonesty. They are solely indicators that the work requires review by authorized academic personnel. The final decision remains with authorized personnel.
7. Institutional Transparency
The Academy is transparent about AI use. Atlas's responses are based on approved institutional evidence or a transparency message when no verified evidence exists. The Academy does not use AI to fabricate institutional facts, statistics, or accreditation claims.
8. Modifications
This policy may be updated as AI technology and educational practices evolve. Significant changes will be communicated through the Platform.
